Consumer Medicine Information (CMI) explains how a medicine is used, important precautions, possible side effects and storage instructions. Avallon supplies current CMI on request; CMI files are not publicly published on this website.

For advice about whether a medicine is suitable for you, how to take it, or whether treatment should change, speak with your doctor or pharmacist.

CMI may explain

  • What the medicine is used for
  • How and when it should be taken
  • Who should not use it
  • Precautions and interactions
  • Possible side effects
  • Storage and disposal
  • Where to obtain further information

Before taking a medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist about

  • Other prescription and non-prescription medicines
  • Vitamins, supplements or herbal products
  • Known allergies
  • Existing medical conditions
  • Pregnancy, possible pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Previous reactions to medicines
Use CMI with professional advice

CMI supports, but does not replace, the directions on the medicine label or advice from your doctor or pharmacist. Do not start, stop or change a medicine unless your healthcare professional tells you to.
